PHP Developer

  • With Laravel Background

  • Design, coding and testing of web software applications according to specifications and business requirements

  • Enhancement and support of existing software systems

  • Ability to analyze, identify and correct software defects and inefficiency in system processes

  • Use of established development tools, guidelines and conventions related to PHP Web Development

  • Preferably with experience in Symfony Framework and/or other model-view-controller frameworks, PostgreSQL, Jquery, PERL, UNIX Shell Scripting, Jasper Reporting Tool

  • Eagerness to learn and promote effective use of new techniques and technologies

  • Ability to create technical specifications and provide valuable inputs to Systems Analysts during design

  • Ability to work individually or with a team

  • Effective communication of information to team and end customers

  • Must aspire to a culture of service excellence, always putting the customer, our people and our business at the centre of everything they do

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Writing clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way

  • Producing detailed specifications

  • Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining the core product software and databases

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers

  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules

  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

 

 

Requirements

  • Proven software development experience in PHP

  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks {{such as Laravel, Codeigniter, etc depending on your technology stack}}

  • Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP

  • Understanding of MVC design patterns

  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance {{Depending on the specific project}}

  • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

  • Demonstrable knowledge of mobile technologies including React, Angular, ETC.

  • Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services

  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

  • Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, etc)

  • Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
